2. SENTENCE ARRANGEMENT 문장 구조

Before we step up to the next lesson, I will tell you a little bit about Sentence Structure in Korean. The basic sentence structure in Korean is very different from English, so that If we want to translate Korean to English it will sound strange for English native. Let’s look at Image 6.

2.1  Adverbs for Subjects and Objects

In Korean, there is an affixed word or particle known to indicate the subject and object in a sentence. This adverb does not include a pronoun because it only explains that the word we are saying is a subject or object.
1.   Subject :   1. for subjects that end in vowels (a, i, u, e, and o.) are added to
                2. for subjects that end in consonants are added to
2. Object :    1. for objects that end in vowels (a, i, u, e, and o.) are added to

2.2 To Be “am/is/are”

After understanding the sentence structure, we will now make a simple sentence using "to be". In Korean there is only one type "to be" in the "present sentence to express an object or subject, it is "이다".
